Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Impact on OPC League Games

Hello NEOFC members,

NEOFC continues to take the health and safety of our club and community as a top priority, above everything else.  There are many challenges that Coronavirus has created in the lives of our members and we will suspended all NEOFC activities through Sunday, April 12th.  This date change comes at the recommendation and mandate made by US Soccer.  US Club Soccer is joining with other youth members of the U.S. Soccer Federation (AYSO, SAY and USSSA) in immediately suspending all activities within our jurisdiction through April 12.” Please read the article Here.

NEOFC will continue to monitor and review circumstance that could change our decisions on dates of club activity.  We will continue to review policies and decisions made by governing bodies such as OPC, US Club, city ordinances, and CDC guidelines.  We will continue to release information on social media, on our website, as well through emails.

Coaches will be reaching out to their teams, to give homework.  With workouts and assignments, coaches will be spending time designing workouts for your players to be able to do in various locations.

At this time, we plan to continue to pay our coaches and the coaches are very grateful for your fees which support their efforts to develop your kids on and off the pitch.  We understand that activities have been suspended, but the plan right now is to make up missed sessions moving into the summer, which we have not done in years past.  At this time OPC plans to still have a season and is considering all options before canceling anything for the year.  As this is communicated to us, we will info out to you.

We understand that there are many frustrations that have come from various situations surrounding the Coronavirus and we hope that the info coaches send out for you kids to do on their own, can be an activity that brings a break from stress and some enjoyment in their down time.  We appreciate your support.
